Brief Description

Students learn about Aborigines, a group of people indigenous, or native, to Australia. Students view examples of Aboriginal bark art and create pictures in the style of Aboriginal bark art.

Lesson Plan

• Before the lesson, read historical information about Aborigines from library sources or from Aboriginal Australia to students. Show students examples of Aboriginal bark art from library sources or from Aboriginal Bark Paintings. Tell students that they are going to create pictures in the style of Aboriginal bark paintings.
