• copies of Food Fun Quiz: Fact or Fiction? work sheet, pencils or pens, computers with Internet access or printouts of the material referenced below

Lesson Plan

• Ask students to take a minute to think about what they know about vegetables, fruits, and other foods. Tell students they are going to take a quiz to check their knowledge of food.
• Provide each student with a copy of the Education World work sheet Fun Food Quiz: True or False? Have students complete the quiz on their own.
• Ask students to use the following sites or printouts from the sites to find the answers to the questions:
  Vegetables: Fun Facts
  Fruit: Fun Facts
  Guide to Fats
  Smart Food, Junk Food
