and from the left side menu. There are also many embedded links in

REVIEW:
This is a great resource for students and teachers to use in the classroom.
The news stories are kept current and are written on a level that
is appropriate for students. The major areas of the site are: World
News, U.S. News, Sports, and Pencil Reports. As a special feature,
the right side of the page is devoted to the current Iraqi conflict,
with some excellent photos. Additionally, there is a monthly calendar
of events, this day in history, pencil blues (a glossary of terms
used in the articles), and a weekly news quiz. An entire section is
devoted to careers, and users can explore articles about careers from
teacher to oceanographer to heart surgeon, and many more. |
