The format of this site is well suited to the amount of information that is presented. Wide margins and easily read text are surrounded by color, giving the site eye appeal. Special plug-ins and players are needed for multimedia viewing and can be downloaded at the site.
ORGANIZATION:
This well-organized site makes finding information easy. The links in the left navigation menu expand to reveal submenus for each section. There is also a handy site map and search tool available. Included is a cool scrolling navigation bar on the front page for the multimedia section.

REVIEW:
A series of NASA missions to search for new worlds is being launched using very sensitive instruments and Planet Quest highlights these in a site that will fascinate young and old alike. Students can learn all about the instruments and missions, find out how scientists discover new planets and determine if they are habitable, view multimedia presentations, and participate in interactive activities. The new world atlas can be searched to learn more about the planets that have already been discovered, 107 to date. A link to the glossary of terms used on the site can be found in the bottom navigation bar. Educator resources include hands on activity guides, in .pdf format, geared toward grades 6-8 and a list of Web resources to enhance the curriculum.
