REVIEW:
These ready to use lesson plans and activities, provided by NASA,
are all standards-based and age appropriate. At least sixteen topic
areas are listed in vertical columns that are labeled across the
top of the "quilt." Areas include: Sky, Planetary Objects,
Apparent Motion, Patterns, Stars, Matter, Energy, and more. Five
themes are listed in horizontal rows and include: Science as an
Inquiry, Technology Connections, Personal Social Connections, Nature
and History of Science, and Unifying Concepts and Processes. Users
must choose a grade level to display the highlighted patches on
the interactive quilt that are available for each topic area and
instructional theme. When a highlighted patch is clicked, a summary
is displayed in the box at the bottom of the page of the available
lesson plans. Each lesson plan or activity can be downloaded in
.pdf format.
