REVIEW:
This PBS site is a companion to the television show and explores the discovery
of the double helix and the role that Rosalind Franklin played. Educational materials
include background information and interviews as well as slide shows and interactive
activities. The famous photograph is analyzed in an interactive activity that
explores X-ray diffraction, the "X", diamonds, smears and more. A slide
show chronicles the research on DNA from 1952-2001. Visitors to the site can also
take an animated journey into the world of DNA. The resources include links to
related NOVA sites as well as links to other Web sites and a short booklist.
