REVIEW:
Teachers looking to use the WebQuest format in the classroom will find some great examples at the BestWebQuests.com site. The site was developed by Tom March to give teachers quick access to some of the best WebQuests out there. There is a matrix of WebQuests that are arranged by content area and age group. It features a Best of the Week WebQuest and tips on WebQuest design as well as an opportunity to submit your own WebQuest for inclusion in the matrix. The site really examines what makes a great WebQuest. The criteria for selection are posted at the site. The submissions that are selected based on their score on the evaluation rubric. Only those that qualify as "real" WebQuests, the ones that support higher-level thinking, are included.
