REVIEW:
UN Multimedia offers resources and information that will be a great help for history teachers or anyone interested in world news. The UN has a large collection of radio programs, videos, Webcasts, and photographs. Visitors can visit the News Centre to catch up on the latest news by reading the briefs by region or reading the focus articles that feature the hottest issues around the world. Visitors can listen to the news programs in the UN Radio section that are produced each day, Monday through Friday. The Radio programs are archived for three months. The Television Series and Webcasts can be viewed that explore the UN in Action, World Chronicles and Year in Review. The UN Photo Library has a collection of approximately 300,000 photographs that date back to the mid 1940s chronicling the history and work of the organization. A portion of these photos is available or viewing on the Web site. Visitors can browse through the archive by clicking on any of the six categories including an historical timeline and a list of specialized subject exhibits.
