Educators, students, science professionals and the general public will all find something of interest at ActionBioScience. The site provides a wealth of articles by scientists, science educators and students about issues that are related to the seven bioscience challenges: environment, biodiversity, genomics, biotechnology, evolution, new frontiers in science, and bioscience education. All articles are peer reviewed before publication and cover such topics as Teaching Geologic Time, Plant Misconceptions, Intelligent Design, The State of Ecosystems and more. The lesson directory includes original lessons written and reviewed by science educators for middle, high school and undergraduate students that accompany articles on the site. Lessons include questions relating to the article and a variety of activities for the classroom. Additionally, lessons are grouped according to the seven bioscience challenges and teachers can access the National Science Education Standards chart to find lessons that address particular curricular needs.
