The Poetry Foundation is an independent literary organization that "exists to discover and celebrate the best poetry and to place it before the largest possible audience." At its Web site, visitors can learn all about the world of poetry. The main sections of the site include features, archive, programs, foundation, and poetry magazine. A good starting point is the Archive, where thousands of poems can be searched by category, title, first line, occasion, and more. The archive also features high-quality recordings of poems, interviews with poets, and documentaries. The features section includes articles on poets, poetry, and culture. Plenty of other resources, such as reading guides and a gallery, can be found in the other sections. |
