REVIEW:
Shodor Education Foundation with the support of the National Science Foundation offers the collection of resources to help students and teachers with learning and teaching about math and science. The resources are grouped into two categories, Learners and Instructors. Learners will find over one hundred interactive activities that cover mathematics areas such as number and operations, geometry, algebra, probability, statistics and others. There is also a dictionary of terms used on the site and a set of tools that can be used as stand-alone applications in analyzing and organizing numbers and data. The section for instructors includes ninety standards based lessons that are grouped by subject and labeled by appropriate grade level. The discussions provide background material written as a dialogue that leads students to understandings of concepts and vocabulary as well as formulas and structure. Included are the NTCM standards and the correlating activities that address them.
