	CONTENT: Lightning Bug is a resource for students to draw on as they learn to write narratives. It focuses on fostering inspiration, finding voice, developing structure, and encouraging an interest in writing.
	SITE DESIGN: The site is well organized and easily navigated. The content is divided into three main sections available from the front page of the site with a list of “Quick Links” at the bottom of the page.
	REVIEW: Lightning Bug is a valuable resource for teachers and students. It’s free and fun to use and students will find help for writing stories beginning with finding a story idea, developing the idea, and finishing the story. Would be writers may want to begin by determining what kind of writer he/she is, then move on to finding inspiration, exploring the genres to determine what kind of story to write, and follow the tips for checking a finished story. A teacher resource section offers instructions for building a writing center, lesson plans, worksheets, and hand-outs for the classroom. Additionally, the Firefly short story section features a new writing challenge to visitors each month with a new short story topic -- the best stories submitted will be published on the site.
