	CONTENT This site sponsored by the New Zealand Association of Science Educators is science resource that uses children’s literature to encourage the development of scientific exploration.
	SITE DESIGN The site is attractive and well organized. Links are listed on the right side of the main page and “Postcards” can be downloaded from the main page as well. Adobe Acrobat Reader and a free registration are required to retrieve all of the resources
	REVIEW Science Postcards offers teachers eight “Postcards” that focus on literacy. Each lesson uses a children’s book to provide the framework for a science activity and a means for engaging the students. All of the lessons are provided free of charge but a site registration is required. Each Postcard is accompanied by teaching notes including suggestions for other books that could be used and a student activity notes that guide the student through the science exploration. The topics covered include forces, light, density, volcanoes, seeds, sound, and space. The lessons are tied to New Zealand curriculum standards but are appropriate for primary students around the world.
