Did you know that there is a confluence within 49 miles of you? This site could help engage students in the study of latitude and longitude. Visitors are encouraged to locate a confluence near them, take pictures, write narratives about the experience, and submit them for publication. Included are step-by-step directions for finding confluences, a numerical index, and a clickable Composite World Map.
