GRADE LEVEL: K-12

CONTENT:
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Walker Art Center, and MCI produced this site with the goal of making "arts education timely, engaging, interactive, and pertinent for both teachers and students of all ages."
AESTHETICS:
The simple, user-friendly interface employs a pleasing use of color and small graphics. Some special plug-ins, such as Flash, Macromedia Shockwave, and QuickTime, are required.
ORGANIZATION:
The main areas of the site are available through an interactive site map on the home page. Users can also access these areas through menus at the top and bottom of every page. An onsite search tool enables users to search all the databases at once.
REVIEW:
The site has four main areas: an for your classroom, a library & archives. The art gallery and library & archives provide access to the combined resources of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Arts Institute. Users can search by keyword or browse by taking the tours and adventures and create their own online art galleries. Teachers will find a wonderful resource at Fabric Factory, students can choose the stitches and colors for embroidering a design. This is one site art teachers and students won't want to miss!
