AESTHETICS:
Most of the images were created by the students (and their parents). The background is white with a decorative border.

ORGANIZATION:

REVIEW:
The Web site comes from a second-grade class that which studied Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and became inspired to create this project. Users will find a timeline (decorated with images created by the students) of Harriet Tubman's life, and a quiz and crossword puzzles based on the material at the site. The site includes activity ideas for incorporating the content into the classroom as part of an interactive lesson plan. Users will find links to additional resources on Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad outside the Web site. The "Notes about How This Site Came Together" section provides a detailed description of the processes used in creating the Web site. It could be used as an excellent guide for educators interested in publishing a project on the Internet. This is a fine example of young students developing and producing a class project for other students to enjoy.
