The resources have been selected on the basis that they represent the best quality in content, design, ease of navigation and have relevance to members of NABSS and visitors to the Site. The selection will remain small so as not to overwhelm visitors, but simply allow them to select from the best available.

Just wanted to let you know I'm adding your Black History Treasure Hunts to MidLink Magazine's menu. I'm certain that the kids will enjoy these activities. Great work!

I noticed your site sent the U.S. Olympic Committee Online quite a bit of traffic during the course of the 1998 Olympic Winter Games, which is great. I just wanted to thank you and let you know I am open to suggestions on how you and your subscribers can use our content to learn more about the Olympic Movement. Thanks for your support of USOC Online.

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I think your site is awesome!!! I am a Webmaster for a company and have seen MANY sites - yours is one of the best I've seen. GREAT JOB!!!

Thank you so much for creating this site! I am an elementary education major at Abilene Christian University, and having this site to help gather ideas about projects, thematic units, etc., has helped me immensely. Again, I love this place! Thanks!

I teach 7th grade social studies in West Virginia. I really have enjoyed your website. Each year I do a unit on child labor. This year I have a computer in my classroom and would like to use your site as part of my plans. I feel the this site is a valuable learning tool and would like to share it with my students. Thank you.

I've enjoyed visiting your terrific resource site and have added it to the "Favorite Links" page of Cobblestone Publishing Company's web site.

Your site is excellent. I was hoping to find a niche search engine site that would only cator to educators/students and this site is great. I still can't trust those generic search engines cause they're not tailored to specific categories. I referred this information to my trainer in the ESL department at toronto board, she was really interested in this site too.

Your site takes much too long to download. As a homeschool parent of 5 children, I do not have the time to sit and wait for information to download every time I choose an option. I know of many people who do not appreciate long download times. If you wish to have more people visit your site and continue to revisit it in the future, I suggest that you correct this.
Webmaster Note:
We have made many changes and upgrades this year to our servers. Speed of access has been steadily improving, and always of utmost importance to us! We are also working on redesigns that will decrease download times.

I do not like this page i couyld not find anything i needed I looked for Alberta final exams junior high and there was nothing there that i could use.
Webmaster Note:
We are constantly expanding our database, and always appreciate feedback on topics of interest to educators to add to our categories and links. If we do not have what you are looking for, please email us, our researcher will send you some links, and we will add them to our database to make it more complete.

Please do not send us this newsletter anymore. We have not been able to read any messages due to errors in the sending of this e-mail. Thanks.
Webmaster Note:
Due to the amount of information we send in our newsletters, the size is often slightly larger than typical emails. This causes error messages on some mail servers, causing a "loop" in messages. This only happens in approximately a maximum of 1 out of every 1000 subscribers. We are always trying to find the balance between the size of our newsletters and the amount of content we provide, so that our efforts will result in the least amount of mail server errors while still providing the content our subscribers want.

Maybe I'm not doing this right, but I was disappointed to have so little luck finding links for el. science. I was in science for grades 3-5, clicked on, say, dinosaurs, but found absolute nothing. I tried other subtopics and also found either no links or just one or two. What am I doing wrong?
Webmaster Note:
We have reorganized our category structure this year to be more user-friendly. All grade-specific categories are integrated within the main Subject Categories, and are much more accessible. Don't forget to use our Advanced Search page to find links more accurately!

There is a lot of valuable information on this site. Unfortunately I am not able to access much of it as the links will not go through. I received MANY File Not Available and File Not Found messages from the links. Hope this can be corrected.
Webmaster Note:
We have fixed this! We have implemented programs which check each link for validity as it is added, and are in the process of implementing ones that periodically check each link in the database to make sure it is active. We have removed ALL bad links as of September!

I was informed over two months ago that my site would be listed. Since then I have sent you maybe 25 other links to my high school chemistry sites. I check at regular intervals and discover that all of these attempts have failed to move you in any way. I would appreciate it if you would notify me that these sites have failed to meet your requirements and that this is the reason why my attempts to register them repeatedly fail.
While these sites have received critical acclaim in many other respects, I am very frustrated that you guys just ignore them. Am I a fool for stopping by every other day to see if they have appeared? So, rather than having me get angry about it, it would be nice if you could give me some indication of what is going on.
Thanks,
Bob
Bob,
You are right, in my original message to you on 7/2, I thought that links would be added within 2 weeks. However, you are not alone in not being added to our database. We are restructuring the database and category subject tree completely, going from 50,000 to over 100,000 links, and changing our category tree from 2,200 categories to over 6,000 categories. Summer is the most logical time to have things slow down in terms of maintenence of other aspects of the site to push this project through. We have been working steadily on this database restructure project since last February.
The database project was given a 6 month time frame, which would have put it at the end of June. However, it turned into a bigger project than expected.
BUT the good news is that the database project is FINALLY near completion. Your link is in the next batch to be loaded, along with all other links that have been submitted to our site this summer.
I am sorry that you returned to our site every other day to look for your links, and I regret giving you an inaccurate date. Please understand that we are not ignoring you, and there is nothing wrong with your sites that they have not been added. Thanks and my apologies,
Patricia Carnabuci, Webmaster
Patricia,
Thanks for the explanation. It is amazingly frustrating to get one's site promoted on the Internet. My response to you was simply an expression of that frustration. I certainly value your efforts, enjoy your site, and apologize for my temper tantrum. Take your time and make your site exactly the way you think it should be...
Thanks for your efforts on behalf of education...
Bob

Education World is always willing to hear about issues you have with our site. We will do our best to help solve the problem as efficiently as possible.
