Both processed documentation prepared for formal display and "raw"

- Election 2000 Essay Contest
Weekly Reader Corporation and Teen Newsweek announce the Election 2000 Essay Contest open to all sixth through ninth grade students across the United States.
Teen Newsweek editors will select two winning essays. One winner, along with one of his or her parents or guardian, will be taken to the Republican Convention in Philadelphia July 31-August 3. The other winner will be taken, along with one of his or her parents or guardian, to the Democratic Convention in Los Angeles, August 14-17. Each winner will be a convention reporter and write about that convention for the Teen Newsweek Web site and for a fall issue of Teen Newsweek.

- Teen TechFest Challenge
100 winners will spend four days at the Teen TechFest Computer Camp (June 17-21, 2000) at the University of Washington in Seattle. The Teen TechFest Challenge is an online quiz that can be taken at http://www.teentechfest.com/. The students with the top 250 quiz scores will be invited to participate in the final round of the competition, which will determine the Teen TechFest winners.
Who: Students ages 13 to 17 are invited to apply. Seventy-five students from the continental United States and Canada & 25 students from Europe will attend.
