"CHALK TALK CHALLENGE" OFFERS EDUCATORS CHANCE TO VOICE THEIR OPINION

(Oklahoma City, Ok.) -- From September 22 through October 17 the Education World Internet web site located at www.education-world.com will challenge educators to win more than $15,000 in high-tech prizes. "Chalk Talk Challenge" allows educators to register their opinion online about some of the hottest topics in education including violence in schools, block scheduling and year-round schools. Each answer submitted by e-mail is an entry into the sweepstakes. To participate in the Chalk Talk Challenge, educators must register on-line at www.education-world.com/chalk. Beginning on September 22, participants will receive three questions each week via e-mail.

On October 24, three Grand Prize winners will be chosen to receive Gateway 2000 Destination Big Screen PC/TV computer systems (valued at $3,000 each). Sixty first prize winners will receive Microsoftâ software packages (valued at $100 each) including Encartaâ and Microsoftâ Bookshelfâ. Twenty second prize winners will receive Education World polo shirts. In addition, five weekly winners will be chosen to receive one of two Internet teachers' guides: Net Learning: Why Teachers Use the Internet or Net Lessons: Web-Based Projects For Your Classroom published by O'Reilly & Associates.
