NEW EDUCATION WORLD® PLATINUM VISA
GIVES EDUCATORS THE EDGE

Earn a Free Pizza Party for Your Class*

Oklahoma City - October 1998 - Education World (www.education-world.com), the world's best education site on the Internet (Family PC 98), is providing a new benefit for the education community through the Education World Platinum Visa card. Issued by First USA and designed with educators in mind, the card supports education by contributing funds to Education World's new "Grants For Educators" program each time the card is used.

"Education World is already 'where educators go to learn,' and now it is where educators can go to earn," said Rob York, president of Education World. "We are providing educators with not only the best Internet resources for curriculum, lesson plans and reviews of other educational sites, but also the opportunity to receive monetary support through grants. The Education World Platinum Visa card offers a creative way to support educators and the education process." Shortly after their first use of the Education World Platinum Visa card, Cardmembers will receive a $25 credit that can be used to host a class pizza party or provide for other classroom resources.* In addition, First USA is donating $5,000 to the "Grants For Educators" program to inaugurate its relationship with Education World.

The no-annual-fee card, which features a low 9.99% APR, will be available via direct mail and online offerings and by calling 800-294-2993.

Each time the card is used, a contribution will be made to the Education World "Grants For Educators" program, which will provide up to $500 grants for educators on an ongoing basis. Teachers can apply for all Education World Platinum Visa Card grants via the Education World web site at http://www.education-world.com/grants.

Education World is a free resource for educators and is a specialized search engine featuring more than 100,000 education-specific links, original lesson plans, curriculum materials, weekly articles and links to state and federal resources. Education World has received numerous commendations, including being named the world's best education site by FamilyPC; "Best of the Web" from Encyclopedia Britannica; recognized in Microsoft and Encarta's Top Ten sites; rated as the #1 education resource on Lycos; a Top Site by Netscape's Netcenter, powered by Excite and listed in Tech & Learning's "Ultimate Hot List."
