(Oklahoma City, Ok) - Education World, the world's best education resource on the web (FamilyPC), launched a new feature area, Collaborative Projects, January 14.
This section offers educators a place to find hundreds of collaborative projects that have been reviewed, and written about, at Education World. Users will be guided to their area of interest through a series of subject pages, such as Science, Math and Finance, and History.
A message board and new mailing list will help educators keep in touch with other educators across the country. "An exciting aspect of the changing nature of education is the ability to collaborate with classrooms in multiple geographic locations via the Internet," Education World President Brian Mauck said. "We understand the importance of this interaction and are working hard to make it easier for educators to communicate and explore new ideas."
Education World, based in Oklahoma City, is the Internet's largest education-specific search engine, linking to over 120,000 education-related sites. The search engine is appropriate for all ages and searchable by subject or grade level. The site also offers weekly original content - lesson planning activities, curriculum ideas, education site reviews, worldwide education employment listings, forums, education news and many other features to assist the education community online.
