Did you ever want to be a detective? This online collaborative project gives elementary students the opportunity to use deductive reasoning skills to find their fellow project participants. This project incorporates math, geography, science, language arts and social studies into fun-filled lessons and activities that will send your students on a journey across the United States. We are fast approaching the start of another Summer Olympics. However, this is not just any Summer Olympics. This is the first Summer Olympics of the New Millennium. Profile The Sun Times, The Global Sun/Temperature Project
"How does your geographic location affect average daily temperature and hours of sunlight?" Schools from around the world participate in this collaborative project as students measure the local temperature and record the number of minutes of sunlight per day over a specific week. This data is then posted to the web site so that the students can compare and contrast their results with other classes from all over the world.

Profile The Bullying Project
The students who have helped develop the project wanted to use the power of the Internet to let their peers know that young people dealing with the issues of bullying and teasing "Are NOT alone. That being bullied and teased is NOT their fault and that they CAN do something about it!"  (Ongoing)

The Global Online Adventure Learning Site brings real-life adventure into the classroom. Teams of explorers periodically post updates of their journeys. Not all projects run consecutively. Each GOALS adventure has a registry for posting comments and questions to the explorers. Users can also sign up to receive notification when expeditions begin.

Profile The Smile Train Cleft Buddy Project
The Smile Train Cleft Buddy Project is a pen-pal program where classes exchange a small stuffed animal symbolically to represent children born with cleft lip. The project hopes to raise awareness and teach tolerance and acceptance of people with differences to others. Several subjects, such as the language arts, health, humanities, and social studies may be studied through the use of the "cleft buddy."  (On-Going)
